Longpack
To export your cards to a pdf that Longpack can use, follow these steps:
- Setup your card layout for bleed (follow the bleed tutorials above). Read the docs regarding bleed (and watch the tutorial) until you understand why it's needed and how you need to design for it.
- Enable the new pdf export by turning on tinker mode.
- Once you're on the new pdf export page:
choose a component of cards to print (they must be the same size),
Select Longpack from the list of printer presets,
On your first export, set the back backs to 'fronts only'
Click Generate PDF:
Repeat step 3, but select 'backs only' to export a pdf of the backs (Longpack needs 2 separate pdfs for fronts and backs).
Finally, send your pdfs to Longpack and tell them you have bleed, margin and die lines as spot colors. Ask them if they look correct.
You'll need to get Longpack's guidance from that point onwards and get test prints etc.
